New Year's Resolution

I have been meaning to start this blog thing for quite awhile now and decided this was going to be one of my New Year's Resolutions. I had a hard time coming up with a name for this little space in my corner of the internet. I settled upon "When Paths Cross," because I am amazed daily that I get to meet so many interesting people as a photojournalist. I cross paths with people everyday that make me think about my world just a little differently.

I made a trip to the Sterling Correctional Facility in northeastern Colorado last weekend to photograph two prison ministers who happen to be ex-convicts. It gave me some hope when looking and listening to them that maybe, just maybe, people can turn their lives around...
