Yesterday I was assigned to go to Fort Lupton (not the town, but the actual site of the 19th century fur trading post) to cover a heritage fair. I love history, so this was a great experience for me. It is kinda funny talking to these guys and gals, because you start to think to yourself they are from the period. They are all dressed up like pioneers and soldiers, looking very authentic.
Anyway, one of the things I enjoyed photographing most were the Buffalo Soldiers. I also produced a short audio slideshow on the day and you can see it here.
Coverage of the day's event went nicely with a Sunday package we did about the history on the four forts along the South Platte River and one group's determination to reconstruct Fort Lupton.

Nice photographs and audio Josh. I'm pretty sure it's one of my favorites thus far. Take it easy and keep the nice images coming man.
Josh
Did you wear a parachute?
Uh, wrong story. That was for the Liberty Belle post.
No, I did not wear a parachute. Only the pilots had chutes...funny, huh?
Josh, I would like to invite you back to the Heritage Fair this year. It is May 2 at the Fort. You can go to our website www.spvhs.org to get the flyer or contact me at
