Tornado Damage

A couple weeks ago a huge tornado ripped though Weld County. Hey, I just got the press release saying it was an F3 twister. My co-workers did an excellent job in covering the disaster on that day. I was busy with Athlete of the Year portraits as well as taking over other assignments that needed to get done. So, the following day I decided to take the old Speed Graphic 4x5 camera out to do some black and white work. Another photographer was already out doing daily work for the paper and web, so it gave me an opportunity to go back to my art school roots.

A couple days passed and I went to develop the film. In my hastiness I dropped seven sheets into a water bath for the pre-soak. Not thinking anything of it, I let them sit without touching them. Uh, mistake? Some of the sheets stuck together, forcing me to peel them apart. I could actually feel the image being pulled right off the film. Ick. So, that is why some of these are ruined. Oh, well...it's art now.
