I've been meaning to post this for quite sometime now, and as usual I'm behind. I spent a couple months this summer following some bull riders. J.D. Ford and his father run a ranch in southwest Weld County, where they raise rodeo stock and twice a week host bull riders of all ages and abilities. I spent four or five weeks at the ranch on Wednesday evenings, went to a couple rodeos and finally a Professional Bull Riders event. We decided to break up the package into three parts: The rookies, The weekend cowboys and The kid who made it big. We were fortunate in the last part to spend some time with world-ranked bull rider Kody Lostroh. He grew up in Longmont and just so happened he was host to the PBR Enterprise Tour Kody Lostroh Invitational. This was a nice stopping point for the project. I failed in my attempts to do audio with this package. I simply ran out of time, but I have it all and will hopefully someday wade through it all...yeah right. Anyway, I really wanted to ride a bull, but then a funny thing happened...I came to my senses. Click here to see more.
