Here are some photos from a spelling bee at a local elementary school. The funniest moment came when a second-grader, who was squinting his eyes said: "This is challenging." He misspelled the word "sentence," but only by one letter. I was taken back to when I was in my first spelling bee in second grade. I misspelled "mountain," but only by one letter.
