The Kennedy Saga...Cont.

Well, I never intended for this to be a blog about my family. But, given the circumstances (and the fact that some out-of-town family and friends seem interested) I will again post about my daughter's saga. Despite having a cast through a four-week heat wave here in Colorado, she has handled the limited mobility well. She hasn't begged to go swimming, or ride her bike or any of the other things she normally does. Yesterday, while in the daily grind of shooting portraits for a football preview, she stopped in for a quick snap while the studio was set up. (I will post those portraits after they are published.)Today, we went back to the orthopedic doctor's office to cut that big cast off. She was a pretty good sport, but still thought, I think, they were going to cut her arm off. I should really watch what I say when teasing her. Damn, she's so literal sometimes and can't figure out when I'm being sarcastic. Needless to say, another three weeks in a shorter cast. She opted for purple this time. Gotta go buy a silver Sharpie for the autographs. Good news is her arm will continue to grow normally. In case you're all wondering about her hair style today, we figured since she was being so good we'd let her do her own. She kept calling herself a rock star, but looked more like Punky Brewster. People kept looking at us like super liberal parents you might find in Boulder. Things like that tend to happen in Boulder...

She's gorgeous - no matter what she decides to do with her hair!
