Graduations

What to say about graduations? The district decides that all seven high schools that we regularly cover, not including the "alternative schools," should graduate on the same Saturday at the same time. This may not seem like a big deal, but we don't have seven photographers on staff and obviously we can't afford to hire more. We managed to scrounge up two stringers and I volunteered to cover two. This task makes for an interesting dash across town and an even more interesting parking job. Tip: take the company car so if it is ticketed...





Other than forcing me to work overtime on a holiday weekend, these ceremonies mark reflections, advancements, a rite of passage so to speak and, oh yeah, the same formats as last year, and the year before, and before, and before... I really don't have anything great to say about graduations, other than the pizza afterward is usually really good.
