Growing up in the small mountain town of Fairplay, Colo. was great. As a kid I went hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, camping, skiing, snowboarding and backpacking all of the time. Fast forward 10 years: I now have one daughter, moved to the Front Range and not to mention a career...needless to say rarely do I get to the mountains. Anyway, I was itching to get out. Usually someone else gets these assignments, but I asked for it when I saw it come to the desk. I have to admit it was worth the sore legs, back and neck...mainly because I got paid to have fun.You can view an audio slideshow here.
Each hike Wellspring participates in has a scriptural theme, but they all center on enjoying the time away from the rat race and turning our attention to God and the evidences of Him in nature, His creation.
